New Jersey School Construction

HAKS provided regional project management services to oversee $150 million in design and construction for a variety of elementary, middle and high schools in suburban/rural areas of New Jersey. This effort was part of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority’s (NJSDA) $8.6 billion program to finance, design, and construct schools across the state. The ambitious undertaking was the nation’s single largest school construction program. The NJSDA implemented the program by dividing New Jersey into 11 regions. Within each region, the NJSDA engaged a regional project management firm (PMF) to provide project and construction management services, oversight, direction, and coordination.

As part of the Region 5 program, HAKS services were provided in Warren, Hunterdon, and Morris counties. The Region comprises older towns, burgeoning new suburban communities, and agricultural areas.
