HAKS provides critical services for the design, construction, rehabilitation, retrofit and maintenance of bridges. Our work helps to harden structures while reducing congestion and promoting neighborhood revitalization. Our staff is well versed in steel and concrete bridges, including cable-stayed, arch, truss, segmental, suspension, girder, movable and floating, as well as multi-level highway interchanges.  Our bridge services range from feasibility studies and environmental permitting through preliminary and final design, to program and construction management.  We also provide inspection, rating, seismic analysis, rehabilitation design, and value engineering services. Our assignments range from simple studies and assessments to complex multidisciplinary efforts.

Biennial inspections are a substantial component of our bridge infrastructure work, and we have been conducting award-winning bridge inspections for more than two decades throughout the Northeastern U.S.

HAKS also helps clients select a suitable bridge design for a particular site to ensure that the structure complements the surrounding community. We are mindful of a project’s potential environmental impact and strive to keep any possible negative environmental consequences to a minimum.  During the construction phase, we provide maintenance and protection of traffic to keep vehicles moving efficiently, and we rigorously apply work zone safety methods to maintain the security and safety of the project for workers, motorists, pedestrians and the local community.

For whatever type of bridge project or service we provide, HAKS brings to bridge infrastructure projects the expert knowledge and high level of capability and skill needed for successful, cost-effective project completion.
